No-one could say we haven’t been around. We’ve worked with all kinds of people, big and small, cultural and commercial, and, loyal friends that we are, we’re still working with many of them today. The highlights of a combined 25 years experience would have to include the following:

The Science Museum

Dee entered the Science Museum to manage the delivery of a single exhibition. 5 years later she emerged having overseen the delivery of a whole series of large-scale, international touring exhibitions, in the context of a commercial/cultural start-up business. Commissioning such a wide range of designers in the context of hugely differing stakeholder demands was her finishing school and graduation as a design client.

The Aram Gallery

The Aram Gallery

The Aram Gallery is an independent space for experimental or new design, curated by Daniel, and sitting on the top floor of the Aram Store in central London. Over 20, yes I said 20, shows in the last 6 years, it serves as Daniel’s sandpit, testbed and showcase. I’d call it his hobby (if only because of the fun he manages to squeeze out of it) but that would deny the huge levels of attention it gets and it’s massive following. In fact to call it a vital part of London’s design scene might be approaching reality.

Marks & Spencer

In the last of the bad old days at M&S, an internal crack team was tasked with visioning the Store of the Future. Dee worked as the project manager for the design workstream, working with Urban Salon to initiate and set the agenda for a year long exploratory research and development project. Truly innovative in nature, the future-facing ideas became design principles, became pilot stores and finally became the rolled-out store improvement programme.  Dee was converted and, through either pride or misplaced loyalty, has shopped there since.

Royal College of Art

The Royal College of Art

Daniel found it difficult to leave college… He has taught at the Royal College of Art since graduation in 1997, and has been instrumental in the development of the Design Products’ programme under Professor Ron Arad. His joint platform with El Ultimo Grito’s Roberto Feo has been making students’ lives interesting for 6 years to date.
